Ignorance Is Power

Liberals leverage the ignorance of their supporters. Liberals know that their constituents have only emotion on which to base their every decision. Therefore all Liberal appeals are to the emotions. In the face of rage, morality means nothing. This is the root of Liberal Power.

Rage is now a tool to be wielded. Witness the debacle of the bonuses paid out to AIG employees, a debacle wholly *created* by Congress in response to a credit crunch problem created by Congress meddling in the marketplace in response to an emotional appeal to allow the ill-prepared to own their own homes.

Once this error was publicized, Congressional leaders feigned outrage in response, to cover their tracks AMONG THEIR CONSTITUENTS, who are blind to the simple fact of Congressional incompetence. Then they abrogate several specific Constitutional provisions to "punish those who profited" from Congressional ineptitude, and the complicit media does not even mention the glaringly obvious transgression.

Next will come the emotional appeal to let government run our health care. "For the children" of course - this bit of pandering never goes out of style. Never mind that, besides defense, our government manages to ruin everything it touches, like the Anti-Midas touch - everything they touch turns to cr*p.

This is why Liberals will stop at nothing to deny student a decent education (what used to be called a "well-rounded" education). This is why Academia is such a coveted prize - limit the thinking of youth and when they grow older they will need others to "carry the burden" of thinking for them. "Thinking is hard!" as politically-correct Barbie would say. It won't be long until we hear this mocking refrain echoed with deadly seriousness on the evening news.

Liberals cannot survive (politically) without the ignorance of the masses and the willful ignorance of the press.

This is where Conservatism must speak out. To hell with the Republican Party - "Republicans" are too concerned with being liked, with making their own emotional connection with the people - trying to beat the masters at their own game. This is purest folly. Either you stand for the truth (which used to be called "common sense") or you don't. Liberals don't. Increasingly, Republicans don't either.

Speak the truth loudly and with authority. Woe be unto those who refuse to listen. Woe be unto us if we fail to convince those taken in by the persuasiveness of the emotional appeal. Unfortunately, right now, Republicans are just not up to the challenge.

Give Me Socialism Or Give Me Debt: *RIGHT NOW*

The Liberals have to act fast to enact their agenda - why? Because the economy could begin to rebound at any time and once it does then they will no longer have carte blanche to enact their big government ideas.

They know that any gains they make are likely to be permanent, so they must pounce now while the iron is hot and cement in whatever changes they can. Opportunities like a recession don't come around that often and when they do one must take full advantage.

It's like buying into a down market - some people are panic-selling and losing their shirts in the process. Too bad for them. For you, these under-valued commodities represent an opportunity to make some serious profit.

Never miss an opportunity - that's Rom Emmanuel's creed, isn't it?

Sad fact is that all of this is purest treachery and the culprits will never be pursued, much less brought to justice. The old are eating the young. The old are writing checks that the young will have to cash. The young have no choice in the matter - they have no voice, they may not even have been born yet. They don't even have a right to live yet.

Sad fact is there are those who will claim that we are doing this "for the children". How sick is that?

Our idealist teenagers - our new young voters do not realize that they are cutting their own throats by siding with Socialist and Faschist policies. The poor don't care - they figure they have nothing left to lose. The media are only interested in whatever will drum up drama RIGHT NOW - thirty or forty years from now does not exist to them.

We are mortgaging our children's future, fuelled by the complicit and willfully-blind self-interest of the ignorant and short-sighted plus the insatiable greed of our political class.

There ought to be a law......

Obama's Dirty Little Secret

Obama is like a bank robber who knows that a bank's vault opens automatically at 8am every Friday, and he leads his hapless starry-eyed teenaged cohorts to the vault door at 7:55am and he applies electronic gadgets to the door that light up and beep obnoxiously for several minutes. Then he molds several pieces of plastic explosive around the door and begins setting them off one by one. At 8am the vault door opens and the bank robbers begin packing their bags with money and gold. Obama's cohorts all believe it was the *EXACT COMBINATION* of things he did and in exactly the right sequence and in exactly the right amounts that caused the door to open. From that day forward they will  sing his praises as a masterful safe-cracker. Why? Because his cohorts did not know what he knew.

What does Obama know that his followers don't know?

Obama knows (and has known all along) that our American economy is pretty much indestructible. When you get down to brass tacks, our economy is us. It is a sociological and psychological phenomenon born of our need to engage in commerce. The only way it can falter is if our confidence in it falters. The only way it can die is if we refuse to revive it by buckling down and doing what we need to do INDIVIDUALLY to make it work.

Obama knows the economy is indestructible, therefore:

One: Obama knows he cannot wreck the economy.
Two: Obama knows the economy will eventually rebound - it is sound and it is designed to correct itself.
Three: No matter what damage Obama does, the economy will recover.
Four: No matter what Obama does, if he takes *ANY ACTION AT ALL*, no matter how destructive, then he can claim that he _caused_ the economy to recover.

He can traverse the country, go on talk shows, pursue a purely socialist and fascist agenda (after all, both socialism and fascism do represent "CHANGE" from the American system of governance), and claim that socialism and fascism are the very keys to our survival. "Why just look at the all good these fresh new ideas can do!" We all may laugh at how ridiculous this sounds, but the young and the poor (and the media) *will* believe him because they do not know any better.

He's simply taking advantage of the general ignorance of his followers, the young, the idealistic, and the poor (and the media).

Deep down, Obama has a deep faith in the American people and in our incredible resilience. This is Obama's dirty little secret. Obama simply intends to take full advantage of our great strength *AND* of our even greater ignorance using nothing more sophisticated than Orwellian double-speak and hutzpah.

It's just a giant con, and it's an "inside" job.
