For anyone who is missing it, McCain is putting on a clinic,
demonstrating how you make your adversary eat himself.
McCain is firmly inside Obama's "OODA loop"
(decision-making process). He quickly and correctly identified Obama's greatest
weakness - his ego. Now McCain is simply putting Obama into untenable positions
for someone who suffers from excessive ego. McCain can now out-maneuver Obama
at will from now until Obama gets tired.
Obama cannot stand to be "one-upped". However,
because he is afraid to take a stand on his own, he faces constant
one-upmanship since he must always wait to see what his opponent is doing so that
he knows what to criticize. In the meantime, his opponent has the run of the
field.
McCain orchestrated a simple platform for himself to
demonstrate his leadership to all Americans, to SHOW the American people what
he'll do, instead of just TALKING about it. In the process, Obama, slave to his
ego, cannot let McCain appear either to be correct or to be a leader.
Therefore, the only option available to him is to cling to anything that conceivably
might be twisted to diminish McCain in any way. Simply petty.
Now, McCain is in the enviable position of being able to
COMPLETELY IGNORE OBAMA and simply report on what he and his BI-PARTISAN TEAM
are accomplishing. No matter what Obama says, the only correct thing to say is
that he'll join in and do his part *FOR THE GOOD OF THE COUNTRY*, and the correct
time to say it has already passed. No matter what ELSE he says, it is
irrelevant and can be ignored. The longer Obama takes to own up to it, the less
presidential (and the more petty) he looks.
When Obama finally realizes he's been checkmated once again by
McCain's brilliant responses to world events and comes to sit at McCain's
BI-PARTISAN table, McCain has the opportunity to appear magnanimous in victory.
Presidential, even.
Strategic mastermind at work, here, folks. Everyone in
attendance - take notes! McCain is the real deal.
*THIS* is the guy you want sitting across the table from
Putin. And from Ahmadinejad. And from Kim Jung-Il. And so on. Faced with a strongly
principled and very determined McCain to contend with, you can almost feel
sorry for the homicidal, egomaniacal tyrants. Almost.....
And the media are helpless to prevent Obama's
self-immolation on the world stage. I think this is the best part of all. The Democratic political machine plus the mainstream media KING-MAKERS are helpless in the face of Obama's gross incompetence.
Please excuse my very un-Christian delight in their severe discomfort at this point. They can feel it slipping away. This election was in-the-bag just a few months ago! Absolute power was in their grasp. Obama only needed to coast over the finish line.
Why, oh *WHY* did anyone let him open his mouth? And where's Hilary and Bill? Maybe, if we click our heels together three times and chant, we'll wake up to discover this has all been just a bad dream.....
