Bitterly accepting the fact that the most concerted, most negative media-led onslaught in American history has failed to tarnish Sarah Palin in any way, Obama and the Democrats trot out their only remaining deceit - the race card.
As far as us black conservatives are concerned, the race card as the last refuge of the incompetent. We think it's a good definition for everyone, really.
Pitiful in their disgrace, the hapless left-wing soldiers in Obama's army have been stymied at every turn, unable to dig up or manufacture any real dirt against her. When Obama's political machine claimed Sarah Palin was a rube, the American people were supposed to believe it - but they didn't. When they claimed she was a crook, the American people were supposed to believe it - but they didn't. When they claimed that her's was a dysfunctional family, the American people were supposed to believe it - but they didn't. When they claimed she had no executive experience, the American people were supposed to believe it - but they didn't.
One by one the specious claims by the left have been exposed as simply their own wishful "thinking out loud", and now they are left with no recourse. Their ticket has no intrinsic value. Obama-Biden can only claim to *NOT* be McCain-Palin, and that discrepancy is already painfully obvious to everyone anyway.
This political race is becoming a no-brainer. There is one presidential ticket (serious and credible) and then there is the slapstick-comedy ticket of Obama-Biden that has no credibility at all.
No qualifications. No credibility. No seriousness. So, back to the race card.
And remember: The race card is the last refuge of the incompetent.
Obama is going to great lengths (even suing certain investigators) to prevent us from learning about his past activities. Clearly, he has something to hide from the American people.
For now, let's focus on what we already know about Obama's past. Here's one thing we know for certain: the race card has ***never*** failed Obama before.
It is the driving force that led him to his current position. Every position Obama has ever held has been due to his insinuation that DENYING him that position was tantamount to racism - qualifications be damned.
Racism is Obama's ***ONLY*** qualification for the Presidency. His judgment is poor, his grasp of America's position in the world is shaky at best, his allegiances are to every country in the world *except* America, his accomplishments are few, his friends even fewer, his sense of who he is is still "under development", his ideology is pure Socialism and he clearly believes that the Presidency is somehow owed to him, like politics is some great Affirmative Action program.
Well, clearly this is the case in the Democrat party, but not for the Presidency.
This joke, this total sham of an election needs to be played out, but let it be clear what choices are before us now.
On the one hand, we have a party espousing their belief in capitalism (let the markets correct themselves). On the other hand we have the party espousing socialism (let the government exert control over the markets, ostensibly to protect you).
On the one hand, we have a ticket that is serious and sober, dedicated and unflinching in their determination to see to it that America's interests are ALWAYS placed first, that American priorities are always placed highest on the decision-making tree. On the other hand, we have the "citizens of the world" who think America should automatically take a back seat to every other nation because it isn't fair that America is so blessed and so powerful and so influential.
On the one hand, we have the party who exercises good judgment in the face of truly frightening and dangerous world powers and does blink or flinch when confronted with evil. On the other hand, we have the party that shrinks away from confrontation with every bully on the world stage, who will criticize their opponents judgment as belligerent and dangerous, and then modify their own position to match it - because it is the right position, the only position America **CAN** hold after all.
If not America, then no one. No one can and no one will fill our shoes if we decide to "leave" the world stage or not to lead on the world stage. We have the better ideas here - other nations are all slowly coming around to our way of thinking. IMITATING THEM IS PUREST FOLLY.
It's time for America to live up to her greatest potential right now and elect John McCain and Sarah Palin to the highest offices in the land.
At this time of greatest peril, it's time to grow up. We are not innocent. We are not blameless. We are leaders, and leaders do their best and leaders take the arrows. We are America.
Get over it.
Again, the race card is the last refuge of the incompetent.
Unless we give up on America, we have plenty of time to wait for the black man or woman who deserves, who ***EARNS*** the Presidency. Of course, this probably means we're waiting for a black conservative - is the mainstream media ready for that? Probably not, so we'll all have to tune into talk radio since the revolution will NOT be televised.
