We Can Do Better!

I'm thinking and thinking and thinking some more and I can't come up with a single instance in the public record where Obama has exercised good judgment. Nothing. Goose egg. Not a single one. In fact, the litany against Obama all boils down to a common theme - poor judgment over his entire adult life.

Never once has Obama made a moral decision (a decision he thought was right but that was against his own interests or his party's). Not even ONCE. Us folks here in "fly-over country" can't even understand that; much less appreciate it in any way. We all have such stories to tell, and we are proud to tell them, big or small. Obama has NONE - what's up with that???

SWITCHING TRACKS: One more time - why is Obama where he is if not for the fact that he is black and the entire country is ready and eager to believe and prove that America will follow a black man's lead? Take away the color of his skin and all you have is a sub-par talker with nothing of importance to contribute to any enterprise concerned with DOING something positive. Take away his race and he is far less than mediocre. Apparently, Democrats expect far less from blacks than they do for whites - this soft racism is going to get them into trouble someday....

Because of this Democrat Party Affirmative Action Policy we are facing Obama instead of Hilary, and I am grateful not to be facing Hilary right now (and I'm grateful the wind has been temporarily taken out of the sails of the Clinton political machine), but we, as a national community, can certainly put forward a better, more competent, more pride-inspiring, DECISION-MAKER than Barrack Obama to make that historic leap into history as the first black president, and I sincerely hope we do, for the sake of the continuation of this most blessed country on Earth. (Just imagine Sarah's ticket when she's ready to run for president after 8 successful years as VP!)

SWITCHING TRACKS: Obama cannot lead - he is too afraid of confronting and/or disappointing people - he is paralyzed with fear. Any decision has to be focus-grouped and run through the patented "Clinton double-speak" machine before it can be released for public consumption. This is not good judgment - it is "decision-making by waiting to see what everybody else thinks, then getting out in front of that". All that matters is being perceived to be in front of any groundswell of popular opinion.

Just because something is popular doesn't make it right. For awhile, during its heyday, Nazism was popular. In certain elitist circles in America it was en vogue to be so progressive and forward-thinking as to embrace Nazism. Many people were swept up in the fervor of being with the "in" crowd then. Again, just because something is popular doesn't make it right. A moral decision in such a circumstance would be to confront the leadership or, losing that battle, to resign one's place of privilege and power in protest, in moral outrage.

I think we all know that no liberal would ever do this (resign) - political power is sacrosanct and once acquired is never relinquished willingly. Any true dyed-in-the-wool conservative would, simply on principle. We all know this, and part of why liberals despise conservatives is that they cannot bear such comparisons.

SWITCHING TRACKS: Obama has demonstrated temerity in the face of real danger - against a sociopathic Putin determined to test the crumbling resolve of the western hemisphere in general and the Democratic party in particular, Obama put his tail between his legs and ran to hide behind the skirt of Mrs. Clinton. I can only hear this in my head, "This is only a test. If this had been an actual emergency....."). Dear God in heaven - what if Obama had been in office?

Easy - the Middle East would surely be in flames by now. And the Democrats response to this high-level bullying would be raising objections in the U.N. Security Council saying, "Please, can't we all just get along?" How is it that they don't understand that showing weakness to a bully only encourages the bully? Surely they did not believe the feminist crap they were sold in grade school about not fighting back when a bully punches you square on the mouth, did they? Do you mean to tell me that this is what you get as a result? Mealy-mouthed, sniveling, whining, IMPOTENT Liberals? God, please spare us!

We can do better!

And dear God, if you permit us a Republican presidential victory this fall, we *WILL* do better!

I promise.   :-)

This Is How We Do It

I was going to post about how disappointed I am with Senator Obama, the Cowardly Lion of this campaign season (never met a person he wouldn't back down from) but now, that really is a moot point, isn't it?

Today, John McCain picked Sarah Palin to be his VP! ***WOW***

Who knew how shrewd McCain could be? Sarah is a brilliant pick - she complements him very well, she stands up well on her own fairly significant record of real-world achievements, she is well-spoken, well-versed in the daily struggles we "little people" have and she is unabashedly conservative. She is the worst nightmare for Obama and his camp and his supporters and his party - this campaign will be about judgement, making Obama's every non-scripted word a dagger in the heart of his meager pretense of legitimacy.

With one swift, decisive, masterful stroke, McCain has cut off the Dems at the knees. Obama can't attack - he lives in a glass house. Obama can't out-manuever Mrs. Palin and more importantly he can't play the race card any longer - it will sound so petty and small-minded that he will be ridiculed by his own.

Ladies and gentlement, this is no longer your parents' GOP! Thank God for this breath of fresh air into our party. I think McCain has just rescued us by setting the best possible example any leader ever could and in the best "maverick" tradition. McCain has just demonstrated to all Republicans what it will take to win in this political cycle - BOLD vision, BOLD initiatives, BOLD strategies, and BOLD decisions.

Confidence.

Energy.

Vision.

Listen up, Republicans - it's called WINNING, and this is how we do it!

(Hey, Anybody know Montell? "This Is How We Do It" could be the theme music for this campaign  :-)

Good night, me Drughies!

Do We Cut Our Losses Now Or Later?

Barrack cannot lead - he has no experience to draw upon. He cannot follow - he snipes at true leaders, even as he falls into step behind them. He does not recognize what true leadership is, much less understand how to exert it.

He cannot be trusted to tell the truth. He cannot be expected to give a direct answer to a direct question.

He cannot force himself to say anything good or positive or uplifting about America, much less inspire her to greater heights.

He cannot discern between the racist, bigoted drivel of a Jeremiah Wright and The Star Spangled Banner.

He cannot face the harsh realities of this world, much less the need to send men and women to their deaths in the service of our country security interests.

He cannot stand up to the smallest bully, much less the most terrifying men on the planet. He cannot stand his ground or utter a harsh word in response to naked aggression and barbarity.

In short, Obama has no business even DREAMING of being president - much less aspiring to be. He clearly isn't cut out for it, does not have a knack for it; he doesn't belong there, he's over his head - why set anyone up to fail on so grandiose a scale as this?

This is not the year. Obama is not the man. He stands for nothing. He believes in nothing. He'll sacrifice any principle, any person, any group. No one knows who he is, including Obama himself. Has anyone considered the possibility that we might not like what Obama might ultimately settle on for an identity?

Every one of us wants him to be so much. But he isn't. There's nothing to him. Sadly, every one of us is in for a disappointment. The only question is - do we live with that disappointment now, when it is only emotional, or do we live with it later, when human lives will hang in the balance?

I'm voting for someone who will put America first, because he loves America and won't take any crap from anyone who tries to put her down.

Pleasant dreams, America.

7-Year Old GOP Ninja Guts Democratic Nominee

"America is …, uh, is no longer, uh … what it could be, what it once was. And I say to myself, I don’t want that future for my children."

Thank God for the inevitable march of time. It was only a matter of time before Barrack was put on the spot regarding his deepest, truest, core beliefs about America, and that he would be unable to weasel his way out of an answer. The irony of a 7-year old girl putting the screws to Obama is simply priceless!

"Mommy! Mommy! The Emperor has no clothes!" I swear to God these are tears of great joy that are blinding me at the moment.  :-D

"Why?" Such a simple question, isn't it? And Barrack Obama, the Chosen One, The One we've been waiting for,  cannot even formulate an answer. Every Joe who has ever had to interview for a job knows that this question is coming, sooner or later. "Why do you want this job? Why should we hire you?" And with the cameras rolling, Obama could not find a way to duck or evade the question. A 7-year old pierced the careful, polished facade more poignantly than any practiced politician could have in his or her wildest dreams.

For any who could not see before, the eyelids are certainly fluttering open now. People can only behave foolishly when they are unaware of how foolish they appear. Supporting this hollow man is clearly folly of the highest magnitude!

Obama is the best that the America-hating left has to offer. He has come the farthest in the political arena of any candidate with the least in terms of meaningful qualifications. He has passed over those more deserving and better prepared by simply hinting at their deep-seated racism, which automatically disqualifies them. In case you don't know racism when you see it, racism is refusing to push me to the front of every line, for no other reason than that I want to be first. Those who earned their way had an unfair advantage over me - they had ambition and desire to achieve and to compete freely and to succeed and work their way to the front. Instead of doing all that, just put me first in line 'cause you owe me 'cause your ancestors did bad things to my ancestors. Oh yeah, and you owe me *FOREVER*!

Such is the fraud of affirmative action run amok.

Hoist On Their Own Petard

"America is …, uh, is no longer, uh … what it could be, what it once was."

Barrack should never have risen to this level by skipping over so many levels of *EXPERIENCE* with national politics. He was not ready, he is not ready (not learning on the job) and he will not ever be ready until this political season is over. He cannot make the hard decisions - the ones that will infuriate his own supporters, much less those that will cost some Americans their lives. He isn't serious about the Presidency - it's an abstraction to him. Like America is an abstraction to him. And I quote: "America is …, uh, is no longer, uh … what it could be, what it once was." Obama is practically screaming out for help, for deliverance from this mess he has gotten himself into. But now he is the chosen one, and this train has so much momentum and speed built up that he can't get off. He has to follow it to the end. And the Democratic Party is stuck with him.

"America is …, uh, is no longer, uh … what it could be, what it once was."

I think it's just now beginning to dawn on Barrack the sheer MAGNITUDE of what he aspires to. America is privileged and powerful, and her enemies are many and determined. Barrack has enjoyed the fruits of her liberties more than most, and he understands and appreciates those liberties and privileges the least.

The presidency of this great nation is no joke. And anyone who cannot recognize the greatness of America is, by definition, too deficient to even aspire to leading it.

"America is …, uh, is no longer, uh … what it could be, what it once was."

The presidency is no joke - the buck stops there.

In his heart, he knows now that he is only a pretender. But he can't bear to let down all the people who have supported him, so he will find a way to muddle through somehow. He knows now that he is not qualified. He should not be where he is. The air is too thin. The stakes are too high. And every breath he takes, every move he makes, is an out-and-out lie.

Barrack is a condemned man - condemned to live out his folly for the whole world to see. He will continue to make a fool of himself, in blazing, glorious Technicolor, and we can only hope that, as in the case of the famous naked Emperor of lore before him, most civilized folks will be too polite to laugh at his mental nudity out loud.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present this to you as Exhibit A. This is the soft racism of racial preferences that the Democrats have mangled and distorted so far out of proportion in their arrogant prideful elitist folly. It is only fitting, then, that the epitome of their arrogance should now bring them all to their knees in abject humiliation. And on the national stage.

This man who, along with his wife and his entire community, hates what America used to be, hates what it has become, and has no idea how to fix any part or fraction thereof, except, of course, telling people to inflate their tires to save energy, sort of like telling us to tie our shoelaces before we go outside. This is the sum total output of the colossal geniuses that are the Democratic Party.

I think we need to arrange for a series of debates between Barrack Obama and some 7-year-olds who have nothing better to do on a Friday night. I think it'll beat _anything_else_ in prime time!

And somebody should lose their *life* (not just their job) for letting that fool speak without a teleprompter! Especially to a racist, 7-year old Republican political assassin.

You know? It's funny, but Hilary could probably save them all. Hmmmmmm. I wonder what her price will be?

Live long and prosper, my friends!

Is This All There Is? (What Are The Libs Smokin'???)

Obama won't debate. Obama won't commit to anything substantively beneficial for our country's energy future. Obama *will* nay-say any substantive plan put forward by anyone else. And to cover up his complete dearth of ideas, Obama will try to paint McCain as a racist to shift the focus away from his own vacuous-ness.

Is this all he's got? Is this how he expects to unify America, by whimpering like a baby? By running home to Mommy and making up stories about how the other kids laughed at him on the playground and "really hurt his feelings" so maybe she won't be too upset that he brought home two "F"s on his report card?

Misdirection and evasion - pure Clinton. Obama has studied at the foot of the master and has whipped him at his own game. Yay Obama! "All hail the Clinton (political machine) slayer!" Hip hip - HOORAY! He has done this country a great service and we are indebted to him beyond measure....but that ain't enough to get him into the White House.

And, apparently, the best he can manage, without a teleprompter, is to sit on the sidelines and denigrate any constructive ideas his opponent has. No ideas of his own, just saying "Nope - this probably won't work or and that won't work either". So Obama, what would you do instead? "I've already said what I would do instead, but you don't hear me because McCain is trying to make people afraid of me because I'm Black!"*

So this how he expects to "play nice" with the nastiest, ugliest, psychopathic nut-jobs on the world stage like Ahmedinajad? "I'm Black, you know, so you'd better go along with whatever I say or else I'll cry "racist" to my adoring media fans and everyone else will hate you.

I think I want a grown-up for President. He pisses me off, sometimes, but sometimes that's just gonna happen - he can't be right all the time - like me!   :-)  So he pisses me off. At least he has the intestinal fortitude to tell me to my face that he thinks he's right and I'm wrong and why.

In the final analysis - I'm a big boy; I'll get over it.

Peace.

*(OK - If you must know, then here's what I would do: blow bubble gum on every third Tuesday of every month and the collective gases from our bubbles will release enough CO2 to increase global warming on our free government hand-out solar panels and we'll use that renewable energy to power all our wildest dreams in the future! Yay! Pretty comprehensive, huh?)
