I can't watch or listen to Obama anymore. No public figure in the history of the world has had a more hostile relationship with TRUTH than he. It isn't even funny anymore. Every.Single.Word.Is. A.Lie. Every word is calculated to make you think he is saying something important but, taken all together, add up to nothing or even worse - add up to a lie. Every speech he gives, every answer to any question - all lies now. Again, it isn't funny anymore.

He blames the previous administration, the Congress, the Senate, The Judiciary, the political process, and even the people of our great land for all his failures. He apologizes for the power we project in the world, but for the damage he has caused us - not a peep.

Some of us wanted to believe. Some of us desperately hoped beyond hope that he would make America proud, make US proud. But for years now he brings us nothing but shame and dishonor around the world, he is a dishonest broker in all his dealings, he is an ideologue to an ideology that has consistently, repeatedly and predictably failed EVERYWHERE around the globe where it has been tried. Obama believes he can con and bully us into successful socialism, and his every utterance is testament to this singular objective. He cannot deny it, he can only scold us for pointing this out.

The Obamas despise America - and it shows. Let this be a lesson to all future generations - hatred of country is not a resume enhancer for those who aspire to the highest office in the land.

You do realize that capital gains taxes are on  *top* of regular income taxes, right?

The lower rate is because it is derived from regular income, which has already been taxed at the HIGHEST POSSIBLE rate. I know you, of all people, understand this - right?

If President Obama said we must all put our retirement savings at risk in the stock market to pay for his new pet program - who would do it? Not me - not you either.

If he threatened us all with jail time if we did not comply, who would do it? Not me - not you either.

BUT if he promised us a 35% return on our investment, who would do it? How many more would "jump in" at the promise of a 50% return? How many more at 75% and so on. Everyone has their price, and this simple fact of human nature is what makes our economy work.

People don't invest their hard-earned money out of the goodness of their hearts or even on pain of government persecution. They will, however, invest it WILLINGLY for the mere *POSSIBILITY* of what *THEY* consider to be a worthwhile profit.

This class warfare stuff serves only the basest of the political class - those that desperately need political cover from their miserable political track records.

If the investor class does not invest, there *is* no economy. Without *risk-takers*, there are no jobs, anywhere (except Federal Government jobs, of course).

You do realize this, don't you? The whole idea is to EXPAND the investor class to include as many people as possible, so that the load is shared as broadly as possible, right? In other words, the goal is to make more and more RICH PEOPLE every day, right? And class warfare aids in this process exactly how?

Just heard Rush and others railing against Mitt for invoking a parallel between his efforts to save companies while heading up Bain Capital to Obama's takeover of GM; they are railing on the grounds that the government takeover was unconstitutional, anti-capitalist (even fascist, IMHO).

As a one-dimensional argument, this is simply true.

However, Romney is clearly thinking several steps ahead to the general election when Obama (and his media) will level the same charges at him and will hark back to EVERYTHING said during this primary season. Romney has, in one stroke, ELIMINATED the MSM's only attack vector on this topic and limits Obama's overall attack strategy. Romney just cut off that line of attack.

I'm sure Rush et al will recognize this once they stop hyper-ventilating, or when the MSM pundits concede defeat on the topic.

This is a game of chess, my friends. Whoever is concentrating on just the current political move-of-the-day and its impact on TODAY is, strategically, two or three steps behind the curve.   :-)

Isn't it sad, though, that defending against some Republicans is now tantamount to defending against the MSM and the extreme radical Left?

What's this? Gingrich and Perry are attacking Romney because of his involvement in a venture capital firm? A firm that did exactly what such a firm is SUPPOSED TO DO? Somehow this is a problem? Really? Not Romneycare? Really? EXCUSE ME???

Both Gingrich and Perry know better than this. And both are clearly desperate to begin attacking the free market principles that help form the bedrock of modern-day Conservatism.

Stick A Fork In Them - They're Done!

Nothing belies a conservative's bona fides like launching an outright attack against capitalism, the sanctity of life, the right to bear arms, or any other tried-and-true principle from the conservative platform.

Not only is this attack beneath the dignity of the office they aspire to, it is an insult to every voter like myself who, as a vibrant Santorum-supporter and personally desperate to avert the MSM coronation of Mitt Romney, was bound and determined to keep an open mind regarding all self-proclaimed conservative candidates this season.

I don't know who they hoped to sway with such antithetical, full hard-on Left Wing wailing and flailing mud machine detritus, but clearly they are *not* after *MY* vote, so I will not waste another moment entertaining them as viable candidates from this moment forward.

Good riddance, losers! Now, please go and embarrass yourselves in some other party, OK?

This is now a two-man race - Romney and Santorum. All others have invalidated themselves as conservatives or as being presidential and deserving a chance at the office.

Obama really is a one-trick pony. His solution to every issue always boils down to class warfare. This is made even more galling by his supporters’ claims that he would be the great "unifier" of the American people, despite a paucity of evidence to even suggest legitimacy of that claim.

An entire nation WANTED to feel good about itself, so we elected Obama, a man who never had anything good to say about America (and he continues that tradition until today).

Have we learned our lesson yet? Obama has one strategy to accomplish every goal - class warfare. That's it. Make an emotional pitch to the less privileged about how the more privileged have stolen their *BIRTHRIGHT* of privilege. 

Obama is a one-trick pony and he’s become a boring waste of true potential. He could have made history, given the country’s READINESS to rally behind him. Our economy was poised to rocket back to prominence – all we needed was a little nudge. Obama saw how close we were to booming back and thought he would piggyback ideological imperatives onto the soon to be recovering economy. Ideology first and always.

But, the socialist ideology spooked us. Instead of leading us back to prominence, he chose his ideology instead, and to lead us into the abyss of class warfare, dragging out a simple recession into a small depression. His other choices were likewise simplistic - hit the golf course, the basketball court and the vacation spots…essentially abdicate every presidential responsibility. The presidency is only a vehicle for him, not a calling, not a ministry, not a passion, not anything exalted or deserving of reverence or respect – simply a means to an end. An ideological end. The end of America as we know it.

Have we learned our lesson yet? If not here, where would the world’s huddled masses dream of and strive to come?

Really?

Granted, I was born in America, a blessing far beyond most other earthly blessings in the history of all mankind. Granted, the random chance of the circumstances of my birth exposes me to a wealth of opportunity that is not available elsewhere in the world. And granted, even within America, I am blessed above others and still others are blessed above me - our blessings are unequally distributed.

 

The fact that I did not have to earn the privilege of being born here does not mean I am entitled to the unearned blessings of others. Nor does it mean I am entitled to any blessing I can imagine. As a citizen, it is my duty to contribute to the pool of national productive output, with compensation generally provided through the marketplace. I am entitled to compensation for my wares in the marketplace, but if I choose to withhold my wares, for what should I, then, be compensated?

 

Some of the Occupy Wall Street crowd (that has something resembling a coherent agenda) thinks that jobs are owed to them, that the "good life" is owed to them, and if they simply make enough noise the "job maker machines" will be cranked up a notch or two to produce *more* jobs to accommodate them. Many of them are being paid to sit and make noise, which only makes matters worse by fuelling the misunderstanding of basic market principles. The dumbing down of America is coming home to roost. These people clearly have no idea how an economy works and just as clearly, no one on the left seems willing to explain these basic simple tenets to them. As long as they remain ignorant, they can be manipulated. This is the very essence of liberalism. Keep the masses uninformed and you can whip them up into believing anything at all - even in the face of contradictory reality!

 

Obama and Van Jones fomented this crowd, and, sadly, this pathetic showing is the very best they could do. This is community organizing at its best. Accomplishing nothing, simply wasting as much time of us productive folks as possible. The media have tried to fan the sad, sorry little embers into a flame, comparable to the spontaneous rising up of The Tea Party, but to no avail. This attempt at dividing the American people will be the lasting legacy of a failed administration that has wasted the greatest amount of goodwill ever granted to a POTUS and squandered for dubious ideological gains. A complete waste of four years. When finished, the next president will be tasked with restoring America's place in the world, with restoring the American people's faith in our fellow man and in our elected leaders. The day after Obama is voted out of office, the markets will rally and the long dark teatime of America will finally (and FORCEFULLY) be over.

 

Ultimately, we all know how this will play out, don't we? Obama's supporters will lament the fact that this final and robust rebuff of the ideological rot behind Obama's steadfast aim of "transforming America" by bankrupting her and implementing Communism finally proves how racist America is, that 400 million Americans would deliberately hobble themselves simply to spite a black man who tricked them into letting him occupy the highest office in the land. I dare say that very few people will even care enough to read such idiotic bylines as they spend their time instead reveling in the restoration of the quickening of the American way of life - namely, our birthright.

Religion of peace my eye!

The religion of peace shamelessly eats its own, staring down all who would gainsay it, during its holiest of holy times. This is reality, which our press literally cannot see; for our mainstream media, the only reality worthy of reporting is any perceived affront to liberal ideology.

Arab crimes against fellow Arabs and against humanity draw no notice, not even the slaughter of innocent civilians practicing their religion in their holiest of holy times! Crimes against humanity, against their own brethren, DURING THE HOLIEST TIME OF THE YEAR FOR A RELIGION OF PEACE? Now is the best time for Muslims to murder their own people? What kind of sick and twisted political calculus could lead to this outcome?

It would appear that, historically, when left to their own devices, Muslims will simply massacre each other UNLESS they can agree upon murdering some _other_ group of people, like certain non-Muslims - like me, for instance.

Where is the faux outrage of the liberal media? In the same place as their phony courage, their phony introspection and their phony seriousness. They are cowering in the corner, literally afraid to speak, waiting until the coast is clear.

Give me a friggin' BREAK already!

Obama and the Democrats have painted themselves into an ideological corner. After all the demagoguery of the last several decades, the American people are about to see "the man" behind the budgeting curtain. On August 2nd, the facade will be ripped away and we, the people, will see Obama and the Democrats, completely naked.

We will see the utter contrivance of the deficit spending machine when, without it, Democrats will be FORCED to spend within their means. The Democrats are complaining like teenagers being forced to clean up their rooms over summer break; they don't want to do it; it's not fair to make them do it when there is so much more important stuff to deal with, like their social calendar.

We will see that Chicken Little's constant pronouncements of "The Sky Is Going To Fall" are simply predictions of what will happen if we, the people, ever find out what is really going on. What they are actually saying is, "The sky is going to fall ON US if you put US on a spending leash!"

HERE ARE THE SIMPLE FACTS OF THE DEBT CEILING DEBACLE:

SIMPLE FACT NUMBER ONE: Congress *MUST* issue STOP PAYMENTS on SOMETHING come August 2.

What will those somethings be? Well, Democrats (read Tim Geitner) are threatening to stop servicing the debt unless we let them increase the debt. This is stupid, and even the most liberal of Liberals realizes this is a foolhardy political move. But Obama and the Liberal leadership seemingly cannot resist making this ploy.

Obama is threatening to stop payments to Social Security recipients. Also stupid. Republicans will never allow ANYTHING to be funded until Social Security is funded, especially since part of the "shell game" involves borrowing from Social Security (another story for another day).

SIMPLE FACT NUMBER TWO: Liberals want more to spend. Period. This is their bottom line. We, the people, are about to see how deficit spending (i.e. spending our grandchildren's money) is NOT REQUIRED AT ALL! All we need to do is establish priorities and meter out the money we have amongst those priorities. We, the people, do this every day. It is not rocket science.

SIMPLE FACT NUMBER THREE: We still have trillions of dollars coming into the government. We don't HAVE to stop paying EVERYTHING, just *SOME* things. Or maybe just cut back a bit. We need to establish our priorities, by August 2. Or else, we, the people, will see the ugly truth - we have been lied to by Liberals for decades.

Obama and the Democrats have avoided this process for the last several years by refusing to produce a budget. The most irresponsible Congress and Executive in the history of the United States has brought us here by record-breaking spending, on a scale unimaginable just a few years ago; they hid their chicanery behind "Continuing Resolutions". A true budget would have exposed the ruse.

Liberals are so smart, they can get around anything. And for decades they have gotten around the will of the American people who have provided the amount of funding we are comfortable with. Liberals are so smart, though, that they don't HAVE to accept "No!" for an answer. Not even from us rubes in fly-over country - their bosses.

SIMPLE FACT NUMBER FOUR: Infinite Government Promises (read "Spending") Require(s) Infinite Taxation.

"Either we tax the rubes and the hicks in fly-over country right now or, if they tell us "NO!" then we tax their kids with open-ended deficit spending. Either way, we are marching towards Liberal Utopia."

Die-Hard Liberals can sacrifice ANYTHING and ANYONE, as long as they find a way to fund their big-government dreams. Die-Hard Liberals never EVER COMPROMISE on taxes.

SIMPLE FACT NUMBER FIVE:
Conservatives no longer have to wait for generations to balance the budget. They need only wait until August 2, 2011, and the Democrats will *HAVE* to produce a balanced budget or else accept Paul Ryan's plan or else explain to the American people how they have systematically mismanaged the nation's finances for DECADES.

By insisting on raising taxes at this time, Obama and fellow Liberals Pelosi and Reid have painted themselves into and ideological corner. They did not have to do this, but they could not resist it - they are Liberals, and growing government by hook or by crook is all they know to do. Because they could not exercise any self-restraint, they have out-smarted themselves by half this time.

One question for everyone/anyone: at this time, why do we need record levels of deficit spending?

I think the answer is "We don't!"

Government is a FUNCTION of our collective will and efforts. No government should swell and grow during any time of economic decline. That is an obscene concept. We, the people, pay all the bills. If we, the people, are running low on funds, then the government MUST ALSO run low on funds, until we, the people, can fund it once more.

Anything else is pure sophistry.

Every government program should be assigned a priority value, representing the percentage of total revenue that will be apportioned to it. All priority values must add up to 100%. We should debate the RELATIVE funding levels - this is like any household must do - we establish OUR PRIORITIES. Once the priorities are established, the funding is automatic. Beyond that, increases in spending must be limited to increases in TOTAL REVENUE, which will be spread across all priorities. Emergency spending must be accounted for separately.

When will our LEADERS get serious about handling our fiscal responsibilities?

There can be no greater example of ironic arrogance than that of President Obama, who governs against the will of the people every single day, calling on President Mubarak of Egypt, to submit to the will of the people.

No greater arrogance has any man, than to insist that another mere mortal exceed one's own limitations.

Such will be the legacy of the Chosen One.

On-the-job-training only works when one is willing to learn. Obama is clearly unwilling to learn what all other Americans already know - we stand up to evil, we oppose evil. We stand by our friends. We are people of character. We have made our mistakes but we generally try to avoid making the same mistake twice. Obama was forgiven much for being a rookie, however he has not seen fit to compensate for his previous incompetence in any way, and so his legendary incompetence  continues apace.

Obama teased the protestors within Iran demanding freedom and democracy and Obama abandoned them in the face of the true evil that is the Iranian government. Obama is a coward. This is why he will chastise our allies, and coddle our enemies. Confronting evil is distinctly American behavior and Obama just does not get it. He is not qualified to lead us since he is not one of us. He can never "do the right thing" as far as we are concerned because our values are foreign to him. Our courage is foreign to him. Our dedication to human rights is foreign to him.

Obama supports Sharia in every case and instance, everywhere around the world and here within our own borders. Obama will not accept new facts and neither will his supporters, who continue to insist that Obama is a devout Christian, among other things.

After two years in office we have a track record that is 180 degrees out-of-phase with Obama's chosen persona. It no longer matters WHAT Obama says - we know what Obama does and what he will do. Obama will embarrass us on the world stage, leaving a global-sized mess behind for the next administration to clean up.

Dear friends in Israel and other western nations, Americans mourn the damage Obama will visit upon you, the danger he will put you in and the betrayal of all we have accomplished together and pledged towards each other. Obama will turn on you as he has turned on Mubarak, and we apologize for this betrayal now. We cannot stop him until our next election cycle. We hope that it will not be too late to restore our once great friendships. Please forgive us for our collective lapse in judgement in placing someone into a position of ultimate power without ascertaining his character and commitment beforehand.  We will NEVER make this mistake again.

Please forgive us, the many, for the sins of the one. God bless us all.

The Progressive movement and the Obama administration are on the clock. They have less than two years to foment a revolution that will coerce the American people to grant them permanent power on the federal level. Everything Progressives say and do will be geared towards this end. Every word they speak will be misdirection, meant to keep us occupied with inconsequential minutiae while they plot and execute their masterstrokes behind the scenes and off the radar of the American people (with the aid of a complicit Progressive press).

Obama will pretend to become a moderate in public to gain votes in 2012, while signing a record number of executive orders in secret, orders that implement any aspect of the Progressive agenda that cannot be accomplished legally. Moreover, the complicit free press will refuse to publish these executive orders (or will obscure, obfuscate, hide and otherwise render them inaccessible). Obama will publicly lay claim to Reagan’s legacy, while secretly he attempts to pave the way for Sharia law both here and abroad. The complicit press will not ask the obvious questions, nor will they follow-up the obvious evasions.

If Progressives fail, they lose power and credibility for at least a generation, when young people will again be born with no memory of the devastation wrought by the power-mad left. Faced with this idea of virtual extinction, Progressives will stop at nothing to survive. They will say anything and do anything, cooperate with anyone, co-opt anyone, lie, cheat and steal anything, to obtain the most worthy end of political survival.

Politics is their mother's milk. Power is their bread and butter. Old guard Republicans are sheep in comparison to these ravenous wolves. Old guard Republicans are literally helpless against such a formidable internal foe. Only the Tea Party can save this Republic, and it may be time to ditch the Republicans and the Democrats in favor of an AMERICAN party.

Our Constitutionally protected watchdog, the free press, is literally licking the hands of the burglars in our midst. The MSM shield Progressives from scrutiny, the only means by which underhanded activities can be monitored, and they attack Conservatives to distract from the Progressives. Our free press is literally engaging in sedition, by refusing to honor their obligations within our social contract. There must be serious consequences to follow for this abject and willful dereliction of duty.

The clock is ticking. Progressives are siding against the will of the American people. The media are siding with the Progressives against the American people, running interference for the Progressives. Republicans refuse to stand up in the face of evil, to confront the gathering storm. They are ostriches, they are cowards. And some want "in" on the Progressives action.

The clock is ticking, brothers and sisters. Our future, the freedoms of our children and their children, is at stake. Do not our children deserve the America of fame and legend that generation upon generation the world over has looked to for inspiration to improve, for hope of assistance and largesse and even for salvation from evil? Our allies have been cast off by this administration – we must help them up, dust them off and stand with them once more.

The clock is ticking, my friends. Please don’t wait until the 11th hour……

Tonight, the Republicans give credence to the notion that Conservatives are responsible for the vile actions of others. Tonight, Republicans demonstrate their never-ending quest to be out-manuevered in every way and on every front by the Democrats they try to suck up to.

The MSM are due to enter the final stage of their smearing strategy, which is the phony, utterly transparent "mea culpa, mea maxima culpa" stage. We know that the appearance of sincere soul-searching on their part is only lip service, and yet it does not matter that they are not in the least bit contrite regarding the heinous crime they have committed against us. It does not matter that they will perform exactly the same way given exactly the same opportunity to do harm to their countrymen. It does not matter that they only pretend to be civil. Our course is clear, and the onus is upon us. We must forgive them.

In truth, Progressives know full well that this *must* be our response, to forgive them for persecuting us. So let us not disappoint them. Let us forgive them in these waning days of their ever-decreasing influence over us. As the MSM stride boldly out to pasture, let us reflect on their moral failures and draw strength from our adherence to the example of our Lord, Jesus Christ, as we seek not to injure and do evil in return, but, instead, to show mercy and compassion. We forgive the MSM as a tribute to Him, who inspired the foundation of our nation. A nation under God, and subservient to His plan for us - to lead and to inspire the rest of the world to follow, despite intimidation, despite threats to them of bodily harm if they dare hold up our example as something worthy and desirable for themselves as well.

Our God is our strength, and our God is with us, no matter how mightily the left strives to separate us from Him by tempting us into sin with them.

Sheriff Dupnik has a lot to answer for regarding his handling of the known threat to society who is only now receiving the attention he so desperately needs. Yes, Sheriff Dupnik has a lot to answer for, and in light of his complicity in the tragic circumstances in Tucson, AZ, it is no surprise that he came out swinging, hoping  to deflect the spotlight from his own ineptitude.

Likewise, it is clear that the climate of hate and vitriol spewing forth from liberal outlets truly knows no bounds and adheres to no civilized sense of decency or propriety. Perhaps it should be no surprise that EVERY left-leaning media outlet and spokesperson rushed to paint the shooter as a right-wing ideologue - the best camouflage for the evils of Progressivism has long been the direct attack. And is the irony lost on anyone in America how the climate of hate and vitriol always seems to stop at the borders of Hollywood, the mecca of Progressive thought in America? Is it not amazing that singers calling for the outright murder of law-enforcement officers as a means of self-puffery are given a pass? And yet the average citizen is condemned for daring to pledge allegiance to our flag? Or to our bedrock, our foundation, our Constitution? And we are now painted as anti-government by the MSM? We who dare to OPENLY support our country? We are condemned by the flag-burners for being anti-government? If not for the gravity of the situation, it would be truly laughable. Perhaps someday we will laugh about this outrage. But not today.

In years gone by, this tactic (charging opponents with your own criminality, like bank robbers charging police with thievery) would have worked like a charm. However, with NEW media now available to do the work that old media won't do anymore (talk radio hosts are the illegal immigrants of news media) we are allowed to see a larger body of evidence than the MSM is willing to report. And this more complete body of evidence is incredibly damning to the already shredded and disintegrating reputation of the Progressive media. The evidence shows their own complicity in mass murder. Small wonder that the MSM came out swinging, just like Dupnik.

With this latest MSM-gate, as with Watergate and all similar political stories, the original crime was bad enough, but the attempted cover-up makes the horrific truly nightmarish. The MSM can no longer be trusted to report the simple facts. Small wonder, then, that new media is rushing in to fill the void where old media once stood. Reporting the facts is beneath old media now - they are solely in the business of spin. The value of illegal immigrants into the news sphere, to do the work the MSM refuse to do, is as obvious as it is overdue.

The MSM has jumped the shark many times before, but this time it is so shrill, so obvious, so bald-faced and so mean that it is, no doubt, the death rattle of their headlong plunge into irrelevance.

As the MSM proudly march off into the obscurity of history, let us remember that many of their *followers* are in dire need of our love and support, as they emerge into a new day bright with potential and with their blinders removed. It must be frightening for them. Christians, Conservatives, it is time to do your duty and love your dazed and confused political opponents as they make their way towards the light of truth and reason.

Do not condemn. Do not belittle. Do not say, "I told you so." Many of us should remember that WE used to BE them! Remember the example of our Lord and servant king - "Neither do I condemn you. Go, and sin no more."

In the wake of the latest "media-frenzy-inspiring" incident of violence, we have the whole of the left wing political class and all left-wing media outlets propagating the fiction that their political opponents (i.e. Conservatives) are responsible for the actions of a known psychopath. Such an accusation goes far beyond the pale of normal human discourse, goes far beyond simple immorality. Both the accusers and the messengers are presenting the face of evil in our society today.

We, the average and common men and women of America, are being tarred and feathered for the political gain of a political ideology that is now out of control, that hurls unfounded and unsustainable accusations without regard for any consequence and without fear of being challenged - they are secure in the knowledge that their willing media accomplices will shield them from any blowback from the dimwitted public by simply spiking any news story that may represent "blowback".

So, here we are witnessing the bearing of false witness against a neighbor - deliberately, repeatedly, and willfully. All without consequence. There can be no better real-life example of evil in a dictionary or textbook.

Since it is clearly evil that we are now confronted with, how do we deal with it? My friends, our course is clear. And most difficult. Yet, we have no choice.

Our only path of response is to love. There can be no other effective response - all other responses will only propagate the evil.

We must name the evil of defamation and bearing false witness and then PRAY for those who engage in the evil of defamation. It is the hardest thing to do, for in the process we must forgive them BEFORE they ever seek forgiveness from us. WE must take the initiative. We must bear the burden IN SILENCE. We must do it for ourselves and as a testament to our faith in our servant king, Jesus Christ. Seven times seventy times, even. This forgiveness is part of the bedrock of our faith, and explains why and how our nation has been favored above all other nations for so long. We LIVE our faith, even when it costs us so dearly. We love those who persecute us, those who degrade us, those who terrify us, those who demonize us. No other nation in the history of mankind has EVER taken the positions we take, and no other nation is so widely IMITATED, or so greatly reviled and ridiculed for being "soft".

They will know we are Christians by our love.

This is a problem that *only* we Christians can solve. Thankfully, based on the example set for all mankind by our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, we *got* this.  :-)
