Obama's real agenda in addressing the schoolchildren of America is ssimplt to establish a precedent. He will now have a shorter uphill climb the next time he has something to say. Then a shorter climb the next time. Each time he will push the envelope a little more, invoking students' aid in solving the nation's problems.

Eventually we won't even notice - the news organizations won't even cover them. Our children will be helpless to resist the Pied Piper of Pennsylvania Avenue.

It is time to begin calling Obama's method of operations what it is - simple evil. And it is time to begin adjusting our strategy accordingly.

Hopefully President Obama will never again project such hesitancy, weakness, cowardice and lack of resolve on the international stage again.

Hopefully, Israel will take full advantage of the turmoil in Iran to make inroads against Iranian-sponsored terrorist organizations Hamas and Hezbollah.

There is no health care crisis in America.

We have arguably the best, most robust, system in the world featuring the greatest ingenuity in modern medicine.


It is not perfect, granted. It's *only* perceptible flaw is that it is not perfect.
But only Liberals can make the perfect the enemy of the good. Or of the best.

American health care is the Gold Standard by which all other health care systems are judged. Only Liberals would seek to improve the very best by imitating the very worst.

We're overdue for the next distraction from Obama's falling approval ratings. The cult of Obama needs constant stoking and the daily appearances and speeches and radio addresses arent' enough. We need something dramatic. But nothing that will involve the GreaT One taking any sort of unwarranted risk. Hmmmm.....

We need to outlaw conservatism. Conservatives are all enemies of new-speak and, as such, are enemies of the state. We need to shut them out, shut them up and then shut them down permanently.

I think jail is too good for them, and only delays the inevitable. This "crisis" calls for a final solution. Let's rush through a law, about 800 pages long or so, outlawing all anti-newspeak (which we all know is a euphemism for conservative, wink-wink!) thoughts and actions.

The MSM are relatively silent on the stories of the elections aftermath in Iran. Curious because so-called journalists have always found a way to "get the news" when it would embarrass President Bush. Journalists have no qualms about compromising national security even, if it means an embarrassing story (to conservatives) will "get out on the wire." Today, with Barry at the helm, there is a curious reluctance to go out and report on the news, by hook or by crook.

That lack of news coverage over events of interest to conservatives, which conservatives have lamented for my entire adult life may be signalling the end of the era of mainstream news outlet dominance.

I just tried a google news search for Iran elections. Of the dozens of hits from various news outlets, only one hit was from the MSM (ABC Online). One hit from the LA Times (before it dies) appears to be parroting some Iranian government hardline propaganda. The rest were news outlets totally unfamiliar to me, but apparently just as trustworthy in reporting a consistent view of facts and opinions. FUnny, isn't it?

The MSM don't show up and the news is still getting out. Thanks to alternative media, those who want to be informed CAN be informed. Only the intellectually lazy have any use for the MSM anymore. I say let them keep that audience - it is to our advantage that the intellectually lazy stay out of our way with their ideollogically subservient ignorance.

Our prayers are with the brave men and women who are paying the terrible price for freedom. The Army cannot protect you from Hamas and Hezbollah and the Iranian guard and Secret Police and so on combined, but they stand with you as do we, the CITIZENS of all peace-loving countries of the world, though we are powerless to intervene.

For the first time in my lifetime, I am deeply ashamed of my country. My president is voting "present" and refusing to state unequivocally that protestors should not be assassinated by their government. In Iran today, students are risking life and limb in their struggle to live in a free society. We all know that the price tag of liberty is often written in blood. And only those who would secure that liberty for themselves and for their descendants are qualified to pay that price.

However, they need not stand alone. Perhaps we cannot stand on the frontlines with them, but we can assure them that we pray for their safety and for a quick and positive resolution to the crisis looming before them. To do any less is simple cowardice.

Obama puts the lie to every one of his defenders, who claim that he is so intelligent, so lofty, so erudite, so calm, so measured, so self-assured, so...

So clueless.

To NOT lead in a thoroughly well-informed, well-reasoned and principled fashion, is to shirk a primary responsibility of the office. Obama is learning on the job. We all know that and we chose, by electing him, to forgive him for this shortcoming. However, his reaction times are far too slow. His refusal to lead belies his *inability* to lead. This will be a major problem for the entire world very soon.

It is now crystal clear: The motivation behind Obama's "we are only one of many nations" platitude is simply this: Obama does not *dare* take *any* true leadership role, or else the cult of Obama instantly disintegrates. His world tour was his announcing to the world that he abdicates full responsibility for decision-taking, and his trying to spin this as the virtue of humility.

I'm sorry, but true humility does not STINK of political expediency, Mr. President.

Die-hard Obama supporters support him because he talks in generalities and tilts at windmills and straw men, without saying anything substantive. The cult of Obama is fueled by Obama's indecisiveness, and unwillingness to be pinned down on anything of substance.  

Obama hopes to turn his indecisiveness and fear of leadership into a virtue, to turn his inability and unwillingness to make tough decisions into something praiseworthy. The only reason Obama can talk down the truly TOUGH decisions of others is because he steadfastly refuses to take any tough decisions himself. Obama maintains a zero-exposure posture on all decision-taking situations.

Obama has never had to lead before, and he does not intend to start now.

Let the peasants die - they can't vote for me.

Iran has not even BEGUN to try to trip up Obama and already Obama is clearly out of his depth.

This is the first real test of his presidency and Obama is failing abysmally, for all the world (and his supporters) to see. I don't want the President to fail, but if he refuses to succeed, whose fault is it? And if he refuses to succeed, what kind of leader does this make him?

Obama bashes America for "not living up to her ideals", and here he is - precisely not living up to our ideals by *not* speaking out in support of the brave Iranian men and women who ask only one thing of their government - give them free and fair elections. Our American tradition has *ALWAYS* been to support democracy, because democracies tend to avoid warring with each other, because democracies sponsor goodwill between the peoples of each country (look at the goodwill between the American people and the people of the former Soviet Union - we consider the people to be our friends because *they* speak the words of peace through their ballot boxes.

Obama has put the lie to his sloganeering. His constant political campaigning, since the day he assumed the office, has been designed to convince the American people that he is engaged and in charge. And on this, his very first real test, Obama cannot even muster up the courage to vote "present". If he refuses to succeed, what kind of leader does this make him?

I thank Obama for demonstrating his fecklessness in betraying everything and everyone who voted for him in record time, for betraying our ideals, for giving us nothing but platitudes and jousting with straw men day in and day out. The lesson we all should learn is that if it looks like a duck (a Socialist) and it walks like a duck (an empty suit) and quacks like a duck (a clueless megalomaniac) then it probably is a duck.

Obama does not stand for what America stands for. Obama stands for himself. Obamamania is threatened by taking a principled stand. America's stature on the world stage is threatened by not taking a principled stand. We see now which is more valuable to Obama.
Why is it, again, that we should be scrapping missile defense, Mr. President?

Even the MSM has to sit up and take notice now - the Emperor is walking the streets butt naked. Is there a single American that still refuses to see this?

Imagine - some high school kids of today will be running for public office in the years to come, and their campaign slogans will sound something like this: "Hey, don't look at me! I was just a kid when Obama bankrupted our nation! Don't blame me for Obama!'s screw-ups!"

QUESTION: How will we answer our grandchildren when they ask us what we did to stop this disaster from happening? When they ask us if we were senile when we were in our prime? When they ask us why we didn't speak plainly and openly against the rush to madness?

ENOUGH ALREADY!

There ought to be a law - a Responsibility In Federal Legislation law, that says when Congress engages in clearly irresponsible activity for whatever reason, that they should be held financially liable as individuals, to include their families as well.

As they are so willing to do for so many business industries, let them face a day of reckoning at which they will be held to a simple standard of decency and common sense. If it can be shown that they acted rashly and with extereme prejudice towards ANY group of people, then they AND THEIR CHILDREN should be  made to pay restitution. And if the president signs it, then he and his family should be held likewise accountable.

Obama can and is prosecuting people for voicing their legal *opinions*. I think it's vastly less onerous to hold our politicians to the same standards that they hold other businesses to. If they screw up, punish them. If we can show that they did it on purpose, for some unseen benefit to themselves, then I say we BANKRUPT THEM, just as they are bankrupting us!

  Many of you don't want to believe me. You don't want to believe that Obama would risk the lives of American citizens to further his political agenda. The emperor says his clothes are mighty fine and you take him at his word.

OK, here's a case in point, real-time - right now.

Riddle me this, Batman - why is it that the Obama administration has not responded in any meaningful way to the Swine Flu outbreak in Mexico?

To follow my previous assertion, the reason is because it is not yet an emergency (crisis) AND until it becomes an emergency/crisis, it cannot be used to forward Obama's Health Care Take-over agenda. As soon as the word CRISIS begins to be bandied about, Obama will take swift and decisive action, to cut off all debate while he responds to this crisis.

The object of the game is to wait until no debate is possible. Obama and his Lib supporters learned long ago that they cannot win any debate with conservatives - conservatives focus on results, and Libs refuse to be held responsible for results. Conservatives try to obtain the best results; Libs just want to be able to boast about the wonderful process they are devising. They should go well together, but they don't - they never meet.

Obama's solution to any debate of any kind is to do nothing until he can act without any opposition.

I've got it...how Obama and the Libs get to build their Utopia without *ANY* opposition from Republicans whatsoever. It's simple, really, and they're doing it (laying the groundwork for it) right out in plain sight!
 
Obama is dismantling our national security apparatus that has demonstrably kept us safe here at home for eight years. There can only be one reasonable explanation for making our country less safe at this or any other time - that reason is that it suits the Liberals agenda for America to be viciously attacked. In fact, the more vicious, the more barbaric, the more heinous the attack, the more lives lost, the more people maimed and injured, the better the result for the Libs.

With unlimited Emergency Powers and with the Republicans frozen out of the process, anything, I mean ANYTHING AT ALL can and will be done in the name of national security (they don't have to PROVE ANYTHING). Legislation will be proposed, voted on in both houses, and signed into law within HOURS. The press will acquiesce, as they have from the beginning. Our country will be made over within a few short days of the now inevitable terror attacks. In addition, the damage done can never be undone. The Libs have been drafting the legislation since November - they are ready to move on a moment's notice. All they need to do is wait, and everything they want will fall into their laps.

Politically, it is brilliant. Realistically, of course, the Libs haven't thought it through. They assume, for example, that they will not be specifically targeted by our enemies. They assume that heroic Americans across the country will not step up and take decisive action to mitigate the situation(s), as we did aboard flight 93. They assume that we, the people, will not be prepared for these shenanigans. They assume that the Constitution can be nullified by Executive Order. They assume that America is infinitely resilient, that no amount of damage they do will kill the golden goose. They assume they can put Humpty Dumpty back together again. They assume much more besides.

Unfortunately, Republicans have their backs turned to the real threats we face. Republicans are busy arguing in good faith against the policy declarations from the Obama administration and Congressional leadership. Republicans are trying to engage the Liberals in honest debate, and the Libs are just stalling for time. They are stalling by throwing out more and more red herrings left and right to disorient the Republicans and the press, to keep them buzzing and to keep their eyes off the prize.

This is the best summation of President Obama's first 100 days - nothing serious.

And that's the problem. Obama knows most of this stuff won't pass Constitutional muster. So why do it?

To distract his opponents while he slips the knife in between their shoulder blades. This is his strategy; this is what he spent all his time on during the weeks between winning and being sworn in. While Conservatives and Republicans are defending the country against these faux threats to the Constitution, Obama and his cronies are preparing for their big offensive.

We already know they want to buy up health care, but there's more. The other shoe hasn't dropped yet. There is something else coming that is so big, so massive, so insidious, so potentially hurtful that Conservatives and Libertarians will be unable to resist putting all their resources into this and all the other efforts to defend the Constitution, leaving the way clear for Obama to accomplish his final objective.

In essence, he is using our patriotism and love of country against us. Pretty canny, I must admit, and, so far, pretty effective. Republicans are apoplectic and cross-eyed with rage just dealing with what the shots Obama has already fired across the bow. We can only wonder what it will be.

We can be certain that it will be large. It will be stunning. Moreover, it will be un-Constitutional But it will not be a surprise. When it hits, Republicans will be totally unable to focus on Obama's and Pelosi's and Reid's behind-the-scene machinations. The press will focus *ENTIRELY* on the Constitutional brush fires, tying up the MSM airwaves for months to come. By the time the MSM get around to it, the real story, the one that will likely destroy America as we know it, will be a fait accompli.

I had such high hopes that Obama would disprove my doubts about him. Instead, I see he is consumed with the idea that America's place in the world is undeserved and must come to an end. No outside agency has been able to do more than irritate us, much less destroy us. It is time that we join the rest of the world powers by coming down off this pedestal we've let ourselves be placed upon by taking the lead in world affairs, by sacrificing blood for principles enshrined in our Constitution - the principles that led us out of slavery, out of bigotry, out of bondage to government run amok.

Time for us to eat ourselves. Obama will save the world, alright - he'll save the world from US. As only the President of the United States can.

The common thread of Obama's emerging M.O. appears to be short-term political benefit for Obama at the expense of the country's long-term well-being.

Obama's short-sightedness is as simple as naiveté raised to the nth degree and a total  lack of conscience:

1.) Obama knows that the American economy cannot be fatally or even permanently damaged, therefore it matters not WHAT he proposes to do to it, America is resilient and it will rebound just as it always has. CONCLUSION: Whereas doing nothing at all will accomplish the same objective, doing *anything* will accomplish the same objective but with style and bragging rights.

2.) The American military is *SO* vastly superior to all other militaries in the world that it can be severely degraded and still beat the best with one hand tied behind our backs. CONCLUSION: Military spending can be a low priority without any real consequence during his first few years in office AT LEAST (everything beyond Obama's tenure does not exist as a concern or even as an issue - Obama owes nothing to the future, sacrificing it all to his present needs)

3.) Obama has publicly prostrated himself for all to see, plus he has denounced and humiliated America on the international stage and this will satisfy the radicals that seek to destroy our way of life. CONCLUSION: we need not be concerned with terrorists taking deadly action against us. Those resources are better used against my political opposition (again, everything beyond Obama's tenure does not exist as a concern or even as an issue - Obama owes nothing to the future, sacrificing it all to his present needs)

Obama believes no one should be held accountable for his or her poor decisions, beginning with himself. Don't hold me accountable and I won't hold you accountable either. I will get you out of debt, out of whatever dire circumstances you find yourself in. Grant me a "Get out of jail free" card with public opinion and I will do the same for you, along with whatever cash I can divert to you through TARP. Do not criticize me and I will not turn the power of the state against you. Support me and be rewarded with my largesse.

May God have mercy on our children who must pay it all off somehow, and deal with whatever crises exist in their time. Perhaps under the crushing debt we are building up now, they will be unable to respond to the threat of terror, or any other threat, for that matter.

Liberals leverage the ignorance of their supporters. Liberals know that their constituents have only emotion on which to base their every decision. Therefore all Liberal appeals are to the emotions. In the face of rage, morality means nothing. This is the root of Liberal Power.

Rage is now a tool to be wielded. Witness the debacle of the bonuses paid out to AIG employees, a debacle wholly *created* by Congress in response to a credit crunch problem created by Congress meddling in the marketplace in response to an emotional appeal to allow the ill-prepared to own their own homes.

Once this error was publicized, Congressional leaders feigned outrage in response, to cover their tracks AMONG THEIR CONSTITUENTS, who are blind to the simple fact of Congressional incompetence. Then they abrogate several specific Constitutional provisions to "punish those who profited" from Congressional ineptitude, and the complicit media does not even mention the glaringly obvious transgression.

Next will come the emotional appeal to let government run our health care. "For the children" of course - this bit of pandering never goes out of style. Never mind that, besides defense, our government manages to ruin everything it touches, like the Anti-Midas touch - everything they touch turns to cr*p.

This is why Liberals will stop at nothing to deny student a decent education (what used to be called a "well-rounded" education). This is why Academia is such a coveted prize - limit the thinking of youth and when they grow older they will need others to "carry the burden" of thinking for them. "Thinking is hard!" as politically-correct Barbie would say. It won't be long until we hear this mocking refrain echoed with deadly seriousness on the evening news.

Liberals cannot survive (politically) without the ignorance of the masses and the willful ignorance of the press.

This is where Conservatism must speak out. To hell with the Republican Party - "Republicans" are too concerned with being liked, with making their own emotional connection with the people - trying to beat the masters at their own game. This is purest folly. Either you stand for the truth (which used to be called "common sense") or you don't. Liberals don't. Increasingly, Republicans don't either.

Speak the truth loudly and with authority. Woe be unto those who refuse to listen. Woe be unto us if we fail to convince those taken in by the persuasiveness of the emotional appeal. Unfortunately, right now, Republicans are just not up to the challenge.
